Telford United fought back from 4-0 down to salvage a point against highly-fancied Doncaster Rovers at the new Bucks Head on Saturday.
In an afternoon of high drama David Brown scored a 90th minute goal for the home side to cap an amazing fightback after they had been reduced to ten men.
The game was an excellent advert for non-league football with both sides reaching high levels of commitment and energy while also producing excellent football.
In the first half Doncaster proved why they are one of the bookmaker's pre-season favourites for promotion by racing into a four-goal lead.
Dave Morley opened the scoring after 11 minutes when the defender headed home Andy Watson's corner giving Paul Edwards no chance in the Telford goal.
The visitors continued to dominate and went further ahead in the 21st minute when Francis Tierney curled a 25-yard free-kick into the bottom left-hand corner.
And Telford were three behind when Dean Barrick released an unstoppable 35-yard thunderbolt from yet another free-kick.
Doncaster were seemingly cruising and Tierney made it four five minutes later when he slotted home after good work from Watson.
Telford came out in the second half full of fighting spirit and grabbed what appeared to be a consolation goal in the 49th minute when Paul Moore headed home Peter Smith's cross.
Hopes of a home side comeback were further raised in the 60th minute when defender Mark Foran hooked home from the edge of the box.
Time was running out for Telford and their chance of a second-half fightback appeared to end when Jordan King was red carded for two bookable offences nine minutes from time.
But a Moore goal two minutes later set up a grandstand finish and Brown became the hero when he coolly fired home from ten yards deep into stoppage time to give Telford their first point of the season
