Doncaster Rovers stretched their unbeaten run to five matches to keep up the pressure on Conference leaders Yeovil Town.

It was Rovers' best home performance for some time but they had to overcome a slow start, when Gravesend could have gone in front with more care over their finishing.

Simon Parker had a chance in the first minute following good work by Chris Giles and Che Stadhart, but dwelt on the ball allowing Steve Foster to nick it off his toes.

Stadhart was left unmarked in the seventh minute, but his header was saved by Andy Warrington and Mark Bentley hit the bar in the eighth minute with a terrific 20-yarder before Doncaster took charge.

Robert Gill had a well-struck volley saved by Paul Wilkerson in the 17th minute before the home side went ahead.

Gill had a shot blocked and when Paul Barnes followed up his effort was going wide but Jason Blunt slid in to score at the far post in the 37th minute.

Wilkerson was outstanding in the visitors goal and he did well to keep it down to one goal with a brilliant save from Barnes just before the interval.

But their was no holding Doncaster in the second half with Dave Morley making it 2-0 with a thundering header following a 56th minute corner.

Foster and Barnes missed further chances before Blunt made it 3-0 from close range in the 72nd minute heading home a deep cross from Barnes.

Foster had a shot cleared off the line before Barnes made it four for rampant Rovers with another header in the 82nd minute.

Wilkerson continued to perform wonders in the Fleet goal and Stadhart snatched a concelation four minutes from time with a stunning volley from 20 yards.
