Rovers Review

It's been a strange old season, one which we've seen the departure of Sean O'Driscoll, there has been some ups and downs, but mainly downs as we've spent the majority of the season in the bottom three.

With just eleven matches left can The Rovers pick up enough points to see us through to next seasons Championship campaign? There are signs of hope, such as the current run of five matches undefeated, although four of those games were 1-1, but is this change in form too late? We will find out April 28th.

The highlight of the season thus far would probably be the 1-0 win over first placed Southampton, not many Championship fans would have expected that, least of all Rovers fans, but since then and including, we have picked up 18 points in 17 games, compared to the first 17 games of the season where we only managed 12, and amongst those games was a terrifying five match losing streak.

Over the last few games, there has been an air of confidence, like we're not afraid of the bigger, on form teams like Reading and West Ham, we're not afraid to attack and muck in like we were at the start of the season, it seems as though we have a never say die attitude now, where as before, being a goal down, meant the players heads followed.

In summary, it's been a mixed bag this campaign, let us hope that The Mighty Rovers can perform a great escape, and stay in this division, in my eyes, the most entertaining division in English football.
