I definately think that Dave Penney should stay because no1 can denie his achievements, promotion from the conference and the brilliant carling cup run. if Penney left i cant think of a replacement suitable enough for Doncaster Rovers

As a lad in the sixties I watched some great football at Belle Vue all blood and guts. Today I stand back, watch and listen to my nephews (one is 10 and the other 25) enthuse about Rovers, (I did back then) and how they have been dragged back up to the best position in nearly 25 years. The man that has done that for you IS Dave Penney (OK John Ryan has put his money in but money doesn't necessarily buy you success). Rovers have had some great games televised this season earning you respect throughout the country, Aston Villa and Arsenal in the cup will live in the memory for along time to come. If only that whistle had come 30secs earlier no-one would have even been contemplating the Penny Debate, no he would have been voted Mayor, Prime Minister or even Pope.
However, do not begrudge other teams their success, they may have earnt it as Rovers are doing under Penney. Keep him there's few better

Once again the critics of Penney seem to have been silenced with our last 2 results which were good and important results. This whole jumping on-and-off the manager stay-or-go bandwagon is getting tiresome...DP is one of the best, possibly the best manager Doncaster have had in the last 3 decades and in many peoples opinion, rivalry aside, DP is regarded as one of the best manager's in the league is could quite easily be managing at a higher level. With another win this weekend the zigga-zagga's will be right on the tail of the play-off places and a slip up from those contending for the play-offs could see us get right in the mix again. DP plays attractive football and with our Carling Cup run we've managed to attract players like Kevin Horlock, Graeme Lee, Ross McKormack and by looming at Wheater it seems Premiership teams know how we play and they like it so will let their players out on loan to us. DP is the best manager i have seen in my 13 years as a supporter and long may his reign continue because-garanteed-if DP stays at the helm after this season the Rovers are going places!!!Rovers Till I Die!!

What are people thinking when they critisise Dave Penney...........

Just look what he has done with the Rovers.

He has given Doncaster back pride in their team and their town and provided good,free-flowing football that has been the downfall of a couple of top teams this season and put the wind up a few more too!

More power to him and the chairman and his fellow directors.........they are a pretty good team themselves and almost as good as the ones on the pitch!

There are 100 pennies in a pound but our Penney is priceless!

Keep this Penney in Doncaster`s pocket!
