So a generally quiet pre-season so far. The big signing of Heffernan and a couple of others have perked a little interest for Rovers fans, but overall it's been quite sedate.
So lets take this opportunity to see who other people have signed. Scunny United today announced that they'd signed striker Tommy Johnson. Tell you what lets stop there as this is so hilarious that it'd be a waste of time looking at anyone else!
Brian Laws, who comes a close second to Graham Westley in the arrogant for no apparent reason stakes, has pulled off a masterstroke in signing a player who even Darren Anderton calls sicknote. A player who has scored less goals in about five seasons than Prince Moncrieffe did in a season when we were relegated from the league. A player that, along with Torpey and Beagrie raises Scunnys attacking age to nearly 100.
Just when most of the Rovers contingent are bemoaning one of our best players leaving and the lack of players coming in, Scunny pull this masterstroke. Thankyou Brian Laws, supporting Rovers is never easy but this has definitely put things into perspective.
