Well, we're up to 13th and that's not bad to say where we were only a few games ago.
Rovers have won the last 3 league games and 4 in all competitions. We're playing well at the moment and it looks like our early defence problem has been sorted out by Penney, by only conceding 1 in the last 3 league games and our strike force is a lot better as well, scoring 6 in the last 3 games.
The Carling Cup Clash against Man City was a memorable one, 99% of their fist team players out on the field (one of their players is worth more than our full squad!). Makes it extra special when we win them 3-0 on penalties!
The Barnsley game was 'hard fought' one, two sending off's, Greeny was injured, Coppo was constantly getting hacked down by the crazy 'Dingles'. Another 3 points from that game (Won 0-2).
The Swindon game was a crappy - sorry - scrappy game by all accounts, but the two red cards (one for Forte and one for Iffil) came as a surprise really, the game wasn't played violently. Another much needed 3 points for the Rovers, and the 1-0 score line gives us a run of 3 league wins.
A Look Ahead -
Rovers are currently struggling with injuries, including Green, Thornton, Ryan, Steve Roberts and Coppo doubtful for the game on Saturday.
Another local derby on Saturday - Bradford at Belle Vue. Bradford are 2 points above Rovers, 7th place and 1 point off of the play-off places. The Bantams played Colchester at the weekend and drew 1-1.
The game after that is away at Bournemouth, who are lying 18th in the table at the moment, and have lost the last 3 games 1-0 on the bounce in all comps, incluin a loss at Swansea at the weekend.
Well, thats it for now, but part 3 coming soon!
