Rovers sign Northern Ireland player

Attacking midfielder Dene Shiels today finalised his move to Doncaster for a reported £100,000 and has signed a three and half year contract.He joins the club but isn't able to play in the 4th round replay at Aston Villa on wednesday should the game go ahead.Speaking to the Doncaster Rovers official site he praised the style of football played by Doncaster and said that was a major factor in his decision to join the club despite offers from other clubs.Capped six times already by Northern Ireland  he has already been named in their squad for next weeks World Cup qualifier
