Rovers Sign Heffernan

Donny Rovers today anounced that they have signed Paul Heffernan from Bristol City for a record fee of £125,000.

Paul is a 24-year-old striker born in Dublin and was playing for Irish club Newtown when he was signed by Notts County where he slotted home 37 goals in 80 starts. Bristol City then signed him for £150,000 but only made 13 appearances but managed to score 7 goals for them, that is a ratio of 1 goal every 2 games.

John Ryan said " I have broken the club record to bring in Paul who is a proven goal scorer at this level and with the fans support we will get other targets to join the club."

Paul also said that he was relishing the chance to play first team football after being on the bench for the most part of playing for Bristol.
