Rovers Reluctant To Sign

Doncaster Rovers' off-season is fairly quiet with only 2 platers signed for the club. After spending part of last season on loan from Hull City, Stuart Elliot has signed a permenant deal with the Rovers having not been offered one by the Premierleague new boys.

Sean O' Driscoll is determined to prove that he doesn't have to spend money to survive in the Championship and the signing of John Spicer on a free from Burnley reiterated his point.

Driscoll was eager to secure the services of current players first before any new signings were brought in. Players such as Lockwood and Price have signed new contracts whilst two youngsters have been offered professional contracts at the club.

Meanwhile Mark McCammon, Paul Green, Graeme Lee, Stephen Roberts and Matthew Noble have all found other clubs, notably Paul Green to Derby. Sean O Driscoll's managing attributes will be put to the test in the forthcoming season claiming that the players he already has "are Championship quality".
