The players, who officially report back on July 6 - just two days before their first warm-up game at Armthorpe Welfare - have all been following personal fitness schedules which kicked in following a short break at the end of the season.
"The players all looked in good shape," said physio John Dickens.
"They were all body-fat tested and nobody has put on any weight since the end of last season.
"They did some exercises to test their fitness, some running and some strength training as well as some ball work."
Joining in with yesterday's session was defender/midfielder Sean McDaid.
McDaid, who missed the whole of last season due to a knee problem, has continued to work on strengthening the joint and surrounding leg muscles since the end of the season.
Defender James O'Connor, who missed the run-in following ankle surgery, also resumed full training yesterday after completing his rehabilitation programme.
Attacking midfielder James Coppinger, who also misssed the final games of the club's first season at Championship level for over 50 years after suffering an ankle ligament injury, was another to resume full training following time spent working with Dickens.
Several players are missing this week, including star midfielder Richie Wellens who got married at the weekend.
Wellens and defenders Adam Lockwood (family holiday) reported back last week.
Other players, including goalkeeper Neil Sullivan, will be reporting back for sessions next week.
