Rovers Paul Heffernan unhappy with booking at Blackpool
The Irishman netted four goals in 12 appearances at the Memorial Stadium and looked lively on his Championship return.
However, the 28-year-old had a disappointing start to the match after he was booked for simulation in what looked a clear-cut penalty for Rovers.
He told the club's official website: "I think it was a penalty. The lad had left his back leg there and I have gone over it. The referee either gives a penalty or he doesn't; I don't know how he has booked me for diving, but it was definitely and pen and it definitely wasn't a dive.
"It upsets me, because I'm not that type of player and I said to the referee at the time; if I'm in on goal, I'm not going to go down intentionally.
"It's frustrating - just because he doesn't give the penalty, it doesn't mean he has to book me for diving. I was very frustrated."
