Rovers Mark Wilson looking forward to television appearance

"It is the first time that we've been on television this season; we don't seem to get as much coverage as we should considering the success that we should have had over the last two or three years," he said.

"I don't know why that is; we've got a new ground we play good football and we entertain people.

"When we've been on television in the past we've had a lot of good comments about the quality of our football and we probably don't get the credit we deserve.

"I'm sure the chairman, knowing the character that he is, will have kicked up a fuss about it and rightly so.

"I don't know how you change people's conception of the club.

"We'll certainly be looking to put on a good show and show people what they have been missing."

The game will see the first return to the Keepmoat Stadium of centre-back Matt Mills since his seven-figure summer move to the Royals.

"Matt's return will add interest to the game," said Wilson. "It will be good to see him again. I think that he'll get a great reception from the Rovers' fans. I think that people will understand the reason why he wanted to move.

"Matt was a fantastic when he was here and he was a big loss.

"But fortunately we have a manager who is both resourceful and innovative to make the best out of the squad he's got and also bring in Jason Shackell in on loan.

"You always want to go back to one of your old clubs and put on a good performance and do well and I am sure that Matt is no different.

"It is just a pity that Jason will miss the game due to injury because it would have been a great battle between them.

"We'll be looking to get back to winning ways at the Keepmoat Stadium, where we have been hard to beat for most of the season."
