Rovers defender Adam Lockwood on tonights game with Coventry City

The Sky Blues, who will be making a second visit to South Yorkshire in four days, boast the only 100 per cent record in the Championship. City's start to the season - they have beaten Ipswich and Barnsley - may make them unlikely early-season leaders, but they have earned the respect of in-form Rovers' centre-back Adam Lockwood. "You have got to respect any side who can win back-to-back games in this division because it is not an easy thing to do at any stage of the season; so they must be a decent side," he said. "But we've made a decent start to the season and we are still unbeaten which gives you confidence going into games. "We've also come from behind in both games, which we struggled to do last season, and that also gives you a boost." It was Lockwood's 79th minute goal which salvaged a point for Rovers in Saturday's 1-1 draw at home to Preston. Rovers were good value for the point and on the balance of play Preston couldn't have really complained had they gone home empty-handed. But Lockwood admits that he was beginning to fear that Rovers would draw a blank as the Preston goal led a charmed life in the second half. Just one reason for the jubilant goal celebrations. The other reason for his joyous response was that it was his first goal for over a year. The goal will likely boost the modest Lockwood's hopes of holding down a regular starting spot in forthcoming games - something that he is keen to do. The former Yeovil man saw his chances of a regular start affected last season by the success of the Matt Mills-Sam Hird partnership. "I was a bit disappointed last season with the way things went with injuries and things," he said."
