But he trained yesterday and providing that he sufferered no reaction overnight he will come into contention for a place in Sean O'Driscoll's side.Rovers will be looking to avoid a third successive defeat.

They received a lot of plaudits for the quality of their football against Spurs but O'Driscoll says that will count for nothing today."Getting beat 5-1 isn't pleasant, and I don't care who you are playing against."There are things that we can do better. I thought that we conceded bad goals and whatever level you play at you don't want to give people goals."

The high-flying Bluebirds are the last side in the division that Rovers will want to give away soft goals against. For Dave Jones' side have shown in the opening games of the season that they are perfectly capable of scoring enough goals to win games off their own back."Their front two, Michael Chopra and Jay Bothroyd, are as good as we've seen in the Championship and they are a handful for anybody," said the Doncaster boss."

I remember Dave Jones eulogising to me what a good player Michael Chopra was and that he wanted to get him back. They have done good business there because if you can get that right then everything else falls into place."Everybody thinks that they are going to win every game and everybody works a little bit harder."I'm sure that they are going to be one of the teams who are going to be up there during the season."They've got a new stadium as well, which gives everybody a boost - so they are really a team to be wary off."As well as preparing his side to entertain Cardiff, O'Driscoll has been continuing his efforts to boost his strike power ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline.

"If we could get somebody who would add to the balance that we've got then I think that everybody would benefit - the strikers that we've got and obviously the team."He will take a look at a Slovakian striker, who has impressed playing for his club side, in a practice match on Tuesday, against Leeds United. and will also run the rule over several other people who have approached the club.

O'Driscoll has informed Wolves boss Mick McCarthy that he would be interested in taking 19 year-old former Bournemouth striker Sam Vokes on loan should the opportunity arise in the future.
