Richard O'Kelly on last nights win over Bristol City
"Paul Heffernan is on form at the moment, his whole game - not just his goals - has come on in leaps and bounds in the last few games.
"His movement, the timing of his runs and his general hold-up play and links with other players has been exceptional.
Former Bristol City striker Paul Heffernan scored the only goal of the game as Rovers claimed their seventh win in their last eight league games.
"But I wouldn't like to single anybody out because you could probably look at every player and say at various stages of the game that they were excellent."
Centre-back Matt Mills edged out the likes of Heffernan and Martin Woods to take the man-of-the-match award.
Said O'Kelly: "Matt Mills is a talented young footballer, the same as Sam Hird, and when the pair of them were called upon they did a good job.
"But as I said it was a good team performance. We probably weren't as fluent as we have been in recent games.
"They put us under the cosh for half an hour, but what all the players have learnt is that you have to do various things in this division to get a result."
Possibly as near as three wins to securing their Championship status, O'Kelly said that Rovers had not set themselves a points target.
"There are no real targets; we just try and win the next game,"
"I know that sounds bland but that is what we are looking to do. Getting back onto the training pitch and getting everybody right to go down to Swansea on Saturday and produce a good performance."
Commenting on Rovers' remarkable change in fortunes since starting their unbeaten run on Boxing Day, O'Kelly said
"Our football is exactly the same now as it was then. There are just certain things that the players are doing a little bit better and showing a bit more resilience.
"They are not technical things or tactical things. It is a mental thing; it is a team thing; it is encouraging each other and it is what they do day in, day out, at the training ground.
"We are obviously scoring more goals and that makes a big difference. Sometimes that could be down to a little bit of luck on a few occasions."
