"I thought we were excellent and started to play at a high tempo from the first whistle," he said after the game.

"We were on top for most of the game really and the difference was that we scored early because we have left it late in a lot of games.

"I made several changes to freshen up the side and we are going to have to look closely at using the squad fully in the future now we are involved in three cup competitions as well as the league."
