The 2-1 win at St Mary's was Rovers' third consecutive victory and took them to within touching distance of getting out of the bottom three as the three points drew them level on points with Watford and with a game in hand.

"That is three back-to-back wins and is promotion form at any other stage in the season," O'Driscoll said after the match.

"It was a tremendous match.

"Their keeper, Kelvin Davis, looked in the sort of mood where we were never going to get the ball past him.

"This was a massively important result and it means we are unbeaten in 2009.

"We now have to keep the run going."
