The Youth team prodigy Paul Green has been tracked very closely by Graham Sounness while at Blackburn, will he still fancy the Rovers star midfielder now he is at the Toon.

As well as being at the Walsall game to watch Greeny in person the papers have been featuring talk of how keen Sounness is on Green, his success in plucking John Stead ffrom the 3rd division marks him as a man with talent.

Green, the level headed playmaker who scored in the Conference playoff final, was rejected by Sheffield Wednesday as a youth and welcomed at Belle Vue as a prodigous talent. With the transfer window closed until January we will have to wait and see how serious Sounness is about Paul Green.
