Woods scored five goals for Rovers from midfield last term but his campaign was cut short after undergoing surgery on a troublesome groin problem."I feel as if all the preparations have been right and that the boys are all looking good," Woods told Rovers Player.
"We`ve all had sufficient minutes under our belt to take into the season. I feel as if we are ready to get into the swing of things."Physically, I feel really good. The injury has obviously hampered me for a while now and it got frustrating in games last season where I could feel it.
"I had to take injections and pills so that I could play on. Having the operation done has released my groin and I feel better than I have done for over a year."Rovers, who travel to Preston for their season opener, completed their preparations with a 1-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
