"I am happy with my form, both as a midfielder and within the team," he says.
"I am enjoying my football. I like to get about the park and I've got the freedom to do that.
"But despite that freedom to push forward, I know that I've got to get back to maintain our defensive shape whenever we lose the ball."
Woods is proud of the fact that the Rovers' midfield is rated one of the best in the Championship.

The fans would also like to see more goals from the Scot, for they tend to be spectacular affairs.
His only goal so far this season came in the 4-2 Boxing Day victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
But his 20-yarder was of such quality that it was voted the club's best goal of 2008 in a supporters' poll.
"Most of the goals I have scored over the years have been 20 yards or over; I don't tend to get too many close-range chances," he said.
