Michael McIndoe, winner of Division 3 player of the year and almost every other award apart from rear of the year seemed destined to feature but my player of the season, Mark "the Sarge" Albrighton, was a pleasant surprise.
No one deserves the entry as much Brighty, his immense performances at the back for Doncaster helped us claw our way to the top and stay there week after week.
Both players were in the Non League last year with promoted sides and both were purchased previously from none league clubs. Having made the step up to team of the season proves that there are plenty of overpaid primadonnas in the league who would do well to look over their shoulders.
Especially in the second division next season.
