But you won't catch Rovers' defender James Chambers making any predictions, which is not surprising in view of what happened to him at Leicester City last season.
"The manager told us that if we got 50 points we'd be safe," he recalled. "We ended up getting two points more but we still went down.
"There is no point in setting yourself a target. All we can do is to take it one game - starting with tomorrow's game against Watford - and try and pick up as many points as we can.
"Hopefully we can get to the point where we are mathematically safe from relegation sooner rather than later.
"I wouldn't want to go to Wolves on the last day of the season with them needing to win to be automatically promoted and us needing to win to stay up, but I don't think that it will come to that.
"What we need to do is get back on track after three successive defeats. If we play as well as we know we can then I am confident that we will pick something up from the game.
"But we are going to have to play well to beat them because Watford are playing well and new manager Brendon Rodgers has brought about an improvement because they were fourth bottom when he took over in late November.
"His first game in charge was against us at Vicarage Road.
"I think that you could see what he was trying to do in that game but he's had more time to work with the players since then and they'll be a bit more tuned into what he actually wants.
"I must admit that I was surprised at the time that Watford went for Brendan Rodgers because he was untried as a first-team manager.
"But the way the club was placed financially they probably had to go for someone who would bring on younger players rather than someone who would have wanted to spend money they didn't have. He is proving a very good manager
