Is it Christmas?

Docnaster Rovers' pre-season just got better after securing the services of on-loan defender Matthew Mills. The pre-season long speculation about whether Rovers would be able to secure the signature of the former-Mannchester City player was ended yesterday as he signed a 3 year deal for a fee of £300k.

To make the day better, James O'Connor and team mate James Coppinger both signed new deals to extend their stay at the Keepmoat until 2011. Coppinger was quoted to say that "each year here it just keeps getting better". Both players were a major factor in Rovers' promotion last term and they're both hoping for more success this year.

Jos van Nieuwstadt, nicknamed 'The Hoff', has also signed a permenant deal after impressing Sean O' Driscoll on trial during wins over Newcastle United and Port Vale respectively. The 29 year old Dutch defender is "delighted" to sign for Rovers and is relishing the new season.
