The 25-year-old, a ?1.1million summer signing after spending most of last season on loan at Doncaster, finished the season as the club's leading goalscorer with 16 despite missing nine games following groin surgery in early March.
Midfielder James Coppinger was named players' Player of the Year and also won the club's Goal of the Season, for his opening strike against Norwich at the Keepmoat Stadium in September, and Performance of the Season following his hat-trick in the same match.
