Country and Western at home

Country and Western North End at home tonight will mark one of my highpoints of the season. Although I intensely investigate the burger bars and tea huts at every ground we visit there is nothing more gratifying than the first Belle Vue Cheeseburger of the season. The beauty of the first home friendly is that trraditionaly they use fresh bread buns not frozen which adds to the belief it is going to be another wonderful season. "How could anything go wrong when it starts with bread buns as fresh as this?" is always my thought at the first home friendly. The way to a Yorkshiremans belief is through his stomach.

Preston North End never particularly do anything well. They have a lot of post/pre war hostory but so does Gracie Fields and she's never been in the Premiership. I remember visiting with my mate Dale in the mid 90's and they played on Astroturf, which I expected to be greener.

Along with Fresh Breadbuns and some people from Lancashire the Rovers home crowd will get to see the debut of new signing Chris Beardsley, who is fully expected to play like goon now he has his contract signed (as is traditional with triallists) but could surprise us all. The surprising loss of Fola to Barnsley means that the strike force will still be limited, Coppinger presumably being named as one of those starting up front.

I await the hot pot munchers visit with a slight tingle, but its a burger and visiting Belle Vue that has me excited.
