Club back down over £50 levy

Doncaster Rovers decided to finally tackle the problem of ticket priorities in the most blunt way ever.
Yesterdays original proposition was to levy a £50 charge for any fan wishing to join "Club Rover", this entitled them to a gauranteed home ticket. While loyalty schemes are all well and good the high cost of this "privelidge " had Doncaster fans up in arms due to the recent price hikes.
As if to gaurantee making matters worse the club then announced that Season Ticket holders, who had already forked out hundreds of pounds to the club would now also have to pay £50 to join "Away Rover". Although John Ryan promised season ticket holders first choice on tickets at the end of season rally now they were expected to fork out once more to get the same privelidge.
The reaction to this new £50 charge to gaurantee a home or away ticket was negative in the extreme.
Andy Liney, Supporters Director announced in the afternoon that after a one on one with the club chairman , John Ryan, that the cost had been halved to a more agreeable £25. Once again Andy Liney and John Ryan work together to rescue a bad situation.
