Brooker to sign by midweek?

Rovers efforts to sign Bristol City striker Steve Brooker are expected to move closer to fruition today if the 27- year-old passes a medical.
The two clubs have agreed an initial £100,000 fee, which could rise based on the number of games he plays, and Brooker himself is keen to link up with Rovers.Also today forgotton defender Gordon Greer has joined Swindon Town on a months loan in a bid to gain match fitness.
