Portsmouth:
You have to feel sorry for the South Coast club, only 4 years ago they were entertaining AC Milan at Fratton Park (and not in a friendly) but thanks to financial difficulties they are now propping up the N-Power Championship and their future looks bleak. Their fans will be thankful for every week they manage to stay afloat without any further worries of liquidation. But you have to ask whether or not they will be able to comeback from this. They are already in huge levels of debt and it looks likely they will be in League One next season. As heart-breaking as it may be for some fans to accept, they may be better off in terms of long term stability if they allow the club to die; apply to keep their history and start afresh in the non-league with no debts and a fresh start. Ask fans of Chester and Wimbledon and they will tell you going bust and starting afresh was perhaps one of the best things they ever did to help 'save' the club. Sorry Pompey but I don't think Relegation is going to be the least of your worries.

Coventry:
You wouldn't think that when you stand in the beautiful stadium that is the Ricoh Arena that they face the prospect of playing in the Third Division of English Football next season. The club have done well over the last few seasons but with financial difficulties at the beginning of the season they weren't many people's first choice to survive this season. But no matter how hard the Rovers try to pull free of the sky blues, they are keeping on our tail and we are struggling to shake them off. They pose a threat to the Rovers at the moment, and should the Rovers lose form you can be sure Coventry will attempt to pounce. At the moment I can only see either the Rovers or Coventry being able to break free of the bottom three but I do not think both can do it. And the final home fixture for Coventry against the Rovers (the 2nd to last game of the season) could well be the decider of who faces an almost £2 Million drop in revenue from going down.
(Prediction 22nd)
Bristol City:
Despite picking up the odd win this season Bristol City really are struggling in terms of consistency this season and they appear to be the team to catch as far as Coventry and Rovers are concerned. The Rovers have already played Bristol home and away this season and the three points the Robins won at Ashton Gate in January is proving to be the difference between the 2 sides in the table with us just 3 points off Bristol but we have played a game less. However I don't think Bristol will hang on until the end of the season to be caught, and it could be sooner rather than later. I think that should they find themselves back in the bottom three they will lose confidence and soon be on a decline that will take them back to League one after 5 seasons in the Championship.

Nottingham Forest:
Despite having one of the longest and tormenting seasons in the Championship they look to have turned a corner, and despite the Rovers winning 3 points at the City Ground Forest have picked up some vital points elsewhere and find themselves 4 points above the bottom three, like Bristol they have played a game more than the Rovers but I fancy their chances of survival, they need to keep their heads up and a couple of wins in the next 6 matches should see them only just survive the drop. After the tragedy of their Chairman earlier this season it would be bad for the club if they were relegated. They will try to end this season of misery on a high and dedicate it to their late chairman.
(Prediction: 20th)
Millwall:
Well the club have missed the likes of Steve Morrison this season and are still within danger of being dropped right back into the dog fight at the bottom of the table. They are only 6 points off the drop zone and if they go on a losing streak that number will soon fall. Like Forest I think they are just a couple of good results away from guaranteeing Championship. But for the Rovers they shouldn't be losing sight of Millwall, there is still a possibility that we can catch them and it would benefit the Rovers to take the 19th place.
(Prediction: 19th)
Doncaster Rovers:
A horrible injury list, a declining football squad, a squad transition due to a change in manager and selling your top goal scorer is a recipe for disaster, and that is what this season has been for us. However now we start to look like a proper team again and with the likes of El Hadji Diouf and Pascal Chimbonda fitting into the squad nicely we have started to put together some very handsome results and the season is no longer dead and buried. Escaping the mess we are in is not going to be easy, and every game is a cup final. If you look at teams like Rotherham, Crewe, Southend United, Plymouth and Luton who are not so dissimilar to us in size all went down and as a result when on a long decline into League Two and some have come to the brink of extinction. I don't think that if we go down we will be challenging for promotion, we already operate at huge losses and the loss in TV Revenue and the knock on effect of relegation will try to destroy everything we have worked hard for since 1998. I don't think we are fighting for survival in the Championship, but survival as a football club. The final whistle isn't blown until the end of April and I will not stop believing until then.
Keep The Faith
